Storia Antica 2019 Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore is great value under $20. From the Veneto wine region, the wine is dry, full-bodied and rich with ripe dark fruit, dark cherry, cocoa, pepper and toasty oak spice flavours supple on the palate. Tannins are velvety. "Storia antica" translates to "ancient history" in recognition of the ancient technique of drying grapes prior to fermentation.

Superiore Valpolicella Ripasso food pairings: grilled steaks, slow-cooked beef, Osso Buco, mushroom risotto.
