Natalie's Score: 90/100

Extremely tannic and young: needs serious cellar time to integrate and smooth out. Aromas of black fruit, smoke and spice. This winery has been producing wine since 1981 from estate grown fruit. Decant 2 hours and pair with a rare steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled pork chops, meat kabobs, grilled chicken breast.

Reviews and Ratings

Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes for this Napa Valley full-bodied red are estate grown. Silverado Vineyards (2013) is an elegant Cab with ripe blue and blackberry flavours. Nicely done. Drinking well now. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
