A full-bodied red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz grapes rich and smooth on the palate with dark plum, black cherry, menthol, blackberry, fresh herb, sweet tobacco leaf flavours on the palate. Cool coastal breezes help moderate temperatures in this region that typically produces intensely flavoured red wines. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: steak enchilada casserole, deep dish pizza and cheese pie, pan-fried goose breast with watercress.

Reviews and Ratings

Shingleback Davey Estate 2018 is a full-bodied red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz grapes produced from a single-vineyard. Fleshy with blackberry, cassis, savoury herbs, dark spice and smoky flavours lingering on the palate. Decant for to hours and pour with prime rib roast or hold for five-to-eight years in cellar. - Community Wine Reviews
