Gorgeous concentration in this Californian Chardonnay, but not heavy. Toasted almond and fresh white peach aromas. Pair with roast turkey. Perfect gift wine.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes, Cornish hen, pan-fried cod with lemon butter sauce,.

Reviews and Ratings

A remarkable Californian Chardonnay from Shafer's 2014 Red Shoulder Ranch. Since the 1980s, Shafer has cultivated Chardonnay in Napa Valley's cool climate region of Carneros within sight of the northernmost reach of the San Francisco Bay. The winemaker teamed up with the red-shouldered hawks and other birds of prey for the mission of sustainable gopher pest control in the vineyard. - Community Wine Reviews
