Vintages Wine Panel: Medium ruby in the glass, with complex and invigorating notes of blackberry, cherry, raspberry, cassis, and anise. Dry, with incredible fruit concentration, structure and balance, this delicious wine earned unanimous praise from our panel. The finish is long, layered, and satisfying. Enjoy tonight. My note: Classic, balanced with aromas of blackberry, cassis and toasty oak. This is a superb wine, and it’s kosher for Passover.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb stew, juicy steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The 2007 Segal's Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied, integrated wine, with intense aromas of raspberry, leather, oak and subtle clove and dark liquorice. It has a nice structure with nice acidity, refined tannins (decant for 1 hour for it to open) and a medium to long finish. It is ready to drink now or can be cellared for 5+ more years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91.5 pts - recommended buy. Tasted Nov/11.
Corinna Horton rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A long, lingering wine of complex layering and taste. Deep and rich with blackberry, and black current it fills the nose and mouth with sunlight. Well balanced and smooth; it's also Kosher and void of pesky additives and flavourings, making anything from Segal's a solid pick for me, no antihistamines required.
