Natalie's Score: 89/100

Rustic and full-bodied with sour cherry and wild tart blackberry notes. This wine cries out for food, especially anything with a tangy tomato sauce. A solid finish. Great for potluck gatherings.

Food pairings: stew, roast beef.

Reviews and Ratings

The grapes for this 60% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet, 20% Merlot were sourced from vineyards in Castellina in the Chianti area. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, undated. OTHER: A generous blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet, this is round and velvety, delivering impressive aromatic intensity in the form of black cherry, ripe raspberry, spice, tobacco and dried rosemary. The finish is soft and long. Score: 91. Source: Monica Larner, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 1, 2012

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
