Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Alex: A whopper of an Assyrtiko, produced from 100 year old vines, aged 12 months in oak, and boasting 15% alcohol! I must say it is good, but quite peculiar as well. The nose shows oxidation - leading to heavily bruised apples and lemons with a whiff of petrol, hazelnut and vanilla cream. Powerfully structured and nervy on the palate, with salinity flooding the mouth, and surprisingly high acidity given its weight. You don't notice the alcohol or the oak so much here, as it's all about a long, salted nut and searing lemon finish. 89pts

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
