Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

I truly want to hi 5 myself and do the happy dance! I am definatly on a roll for finding under $20 gems. This one is by far one of the pack leaders coming in at $19.05 you would be hard pressed not to enjoy this incredible wine.

The colour is a wondrous deep plum colour.

On the nose, it was a little different from most of the full bodied wines I drink, it was almost like the wine was flirting with me! Dark plump cherries, plums, blueberries, jam then it released mushroom and mineral notes with a hint of floral violets.

On the palate, oh my! The most amazing, intensely delicious well balanced mature personality wine.
Packed with black fruit, cherries, black currants, blueberries and cooked prunes. There is almond undertone before a well rounded leather steps forward. As the wine immerses your mouth a slight caramel-mocha note is present and then wraps up with perfect good lengthy tannins . Yum!

Bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
