OTHER: Vintages Wine Panel: Sourced exclusively from the winery’s North Canyon vineyard, which is located along the Santa Maria Bench and open to the cooling effects of the Pacific wines. This is prime Pinot Noir territory. The nose is layered and expressive with strawberry, cherry, vanilla and earth. Dry, fruity balanced and with a zesty acidity on the palate. The finish is long and succulent. My note: Lovely, seductive plush fruit: fleshy berries with a satin, Medium- to full-bodied with lots of layers of pleasure. Balanced and satisfying with a long finish. OTHER: Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows: Santa Barbara Collection 2009 Pinot Noir opens with bright aromas of fresh berries and sweet oak spice, which lead to an explosion of ripe cherry, strawberry and high-tone raspberry on the palate. This food-friendly wine has a mouth-watering texture, fine tannins, and is well balanced with a lively finish. Source: NB Liquor Stores. OTHER: This wine is grown in two vineyards (Lafond and Burning Creek) in the Santa Rita Hills. It shows lovely earthy-fruity aromatics and complex flavours of strawberry, raspberry, cherry cola, plum and oak spice with touches of eucalyptus and cloves, while juicy acidity lends liveliness. Pair with smoked ham and grainy mustard, or barbecued mushroom burgers and beetroot chips. (Vintages panel, May 2017). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
