San Silvestro Patres 2016 Barolo is excellent value at $35. Produced from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from 11 villages in the Piedmont wine region. Look for dark cherry, pink florals, tar, flint, leather and dried tobacco flavours on this generous Barolo. The wine was aged up to 38 months in Slavonian oak cask. Pour with a veal Porterhouse steak, or mature cheeses.

Barolo food pairings: prime rib roast, rack of lamb, roast duck.
