San Pedro Tarapacá Leyda Lot 5 Chardonnay from Leyda Valley is a dry, medium-bodied white wine crafted since 2016 from the El Granito Vineyard, planted in 2010 on the banks of the Maipo River just four kilometers from the sea, revealing crisp acidity and stony notes with fresh grapefruit and nectarine character influenced by the cool coastal climate. Serve it chilled with grilled sea bass with lemon and herbs, where the wine's coastal minerality and bright acidity complement the delicate fish while its stone fruit notes add complexity, or pair it with crab cakes with mango salsa as the wine's fresh character and proximity to the sea echo the shellfish while harmonizing with the tropical fruit. Winemaker Viviana Navarrete oversees production at San Pedro, one of Chile's oldest wineries founded in 1865, which pioneered cool-climate viticulture in the Leyda Valley where maritime influence and granite soils create elegant, mineral-driven wines. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared through 2030 as its layers continue to integrate.

Chardonnay food pairings: salads topped with feta cheese, goat cheese galette, pan-fried trout.
