From the Colchagua Valley, Las Lagunas D.O., San Pedro Selected Vineyards 1865 (2022) Carmenère is dry, medium-bodied and fragrant with bright cherry, dark plum, cassis, smoky and spicy on the palate with balanced bright acidity for food. Tannins are velvety. Very nice as is its price at $20.

Carmenère food pairings: venison, ratatouille, rabbit stew, bison steaks.
