A moderately priced, pleasant Chianti for Italian fare. Very attractive smoke and toasty oak on the nose, almost like Bordeaux. Black cherry, spice aromas, with good acidity in this almost full-bodied red wine. Polished tannins. Pair with grilled meats.

Chianti Classico food pairings: bucatini with sausage and peas, roast beef, cheesy pizza, stuffed roasted turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

The 2011 vintage of the Chianti Classico San Felice is mostly of Sangiovese grapes with some Colorino and Pugnitello grapes. Pugnitello almost became non-existent until this winery started using it in this popular blend. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
