Kent Rosenblum trained as a veterinarian before becoming an amateur winemaker and founding his winery Rosenblum Cellars. Today it is one of California’s benchmark Zinfandel producers. This gorgeous brambleberry/blackberry-rich Zin is loaded with dark fruit flavours, spice and vanilla smoke. It's full-bodied but supple: lip-smacking delicious! Crack one open at your next barbecue. Food matches: blackened salmon, back ribs.

Reviews and Ratings

Gabriel Israel rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Gets an extra point for value. What a great Zin. I love it when it has the fullness and richness this 2007 Rosenblum Paso Robles Zin delivers. Expect full body, black fruit with hints of species and mint. Very wide on the palate. Smokey. A finish that is here to stay... :)
Bought it in Maine (Bar Harbor) for an outstanding value of $17.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
