Reviews and Ratings

Lara deVino Wino WSET rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I was impressed with Root: 1 Cabernet Sauvignon the first time I tried it. My dinner date served me a glass of this delicious medium weight cabernet. It had a touch of smoke, nicely balanced palate of red berries and I detected a bit of spice too. These all were a perfect pair to the lovely steak dinner he had prepared. Definitely a wine to add to the shopping list.
Katherine reviewed this wine as follows:

Appearance: Cherry red, light-medium bodied
Nose: Lots of fruit flavour, sweet like jello.
Palette: Tannic and earthy, I can practically taste the tree roots.

On Earth day today, I went with this unique representation of how wine is intricately related to the earth, the soil, the root vines. The bottle mentions cocoa flavours but I only picked this flavour up when paired with a chocolate chip
cookie - a delicious pairing I might add!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
