Named for the city where Shakespeare set his most famous love story, Romeo & Juliet Pinot Grigio comes from the Delle Venezie appellation, Italy's largest Pinot Grigio designation spanning northeastern Italy across Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and the autonomous province of Trento, where the grape's pink-grey clusters have been cultivated since the 18th century. The Delle Venezie DOC, established in 2017, was created specifically to safeguard and certify origin for this category, which now produces around 250 million bottles annually, making it the world's largest volume Pinot Grigio appellation. Fresh and clean on the nose with white nectarine, dried citrus blossom, and a cool mineral note from the northeastern Italian soils, the palate stays crisp and food-friendly with lively acidity and a dry, refreshing finish. Serve it well chilled with grilled fish, fresh salads, or light pasta dishes.

Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie food pairings: Seafood salad, pan-fried sole, grilled chicken, light pasta with lemon and herbs.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
