A robust, concentrated, delicious Californian red wine made from the state's iconic grape, Zinfandel. The fruit grows on old (knotty) vines and is therefore more intensely flavoured. Pair with hamburgers.

Zinfandel food pairings: pizza topped with dried salami, ribs, grilled T-bone steak.

Reviews and Ratings

From Northern Sonoma in Sonoma County, Rodney Strong Knotty Vines (2014) is a very drinkable medium-bodied, juicy Zinfandel made from wine grapes sourced from the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. The Knotty Vines Zinfandel also contains fruit from a 15-acre, old-vine site planted in 1904. - Community Wine Reviews
