Mocha-blackberry goodness on the nose with supple full-bodied layers of dark fruit on the palate. The vineyard is planted on Zandvliet Mountain at a height of 172 metres facing the southeast, which helps ripen the cabernet grapes yet maintain their balanced acidity as well. Lots of coffee-espresso and dark fruit on the finish. This would be terrific with hearty meat dishes. Decant 1 hour.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled gourmet Boerewors sausage, Asian chicken salad, sherry potatoes, chicken cacciatore, pasta.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
