Gorgeously delicious and tasty yet ultra-low in alcohol: a hedonist's dream wine. Aromas of ripe peach and pear. Pair with glazed ham and chutney.

Riesling Kabinett food pairings: mild green curries, green salads topped with seared prawns and a squeeze of lime.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon with a green hue and varietally familiar first whiff of petrol. Petrol burns off and tertiary aromas of apple, pear, citrus, honey and flint come through. Light and fresh with cleansing acidity. Easy sipping at just 9% abv. Perfect price performer as it hits the sweet spot at sub $20. Excellent value for German Riesling.
Food friendly and pair with just about anything. When in doubt, choose Riesling. Indian and spicy Asian foods pair well with Riesling.
Tasted: February 2017
The Haart family wine making history dates back to 1337. They are the oldest winegrowing family in the village of Piesport. The deep reddish-clay and slate soils hold sufficient moisture for the Riesling vines and wine grapes, even during a hot and dry summer. Grapes for Reinhold Haart Kabinett QMP Riesling (2014) were sourced from the vines grown in the red slate soils of the Günterslay and Grafenberg vineyards. The wine is fresh, crisp and delicate lemon and lime zestiness. Drink now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
