Lots of toasty oak and Band-Aid on the nose (good thing) on this robust Spanish red wine. Loaded with black berries and wild tart woodland fruit with savoury cedar brush and garrigue and mystery. Meaty, and chompy. Drink with a fork. Great price. Steak please.

Food pairings: prime rib roast, hearty winter stew, meat lovers pizza , spicy sausage.

Reviews and Ratings

Ramirez De La Piscina Crianza 2013 is a great value, meaty, savoury and dry Rioja red. produced from hand-harvested Tempranillo wine grapes. This Riojan is deep ruby in the glass to a violet rim. Spicy, tasty, well-structured and smooth with lots of smoky blackberries, black cherry, mocha and vanilla spice. Drinking great now. - Community Wine Reviews
