Rabl Zweigelt Rosé from Niederösterreich is a vivid, light-bodied dry pink wine crafted entirely in stainless steel from Zweigelt, Austria's most widely planted red grape, grown across the estate's sustainably certified vineyards in the Kamptal wine town of Langenlois, where loess, chalk, and ancient granite soils bring a characteristic freshness and mineral definition to every wine the family produces. It opens with an enticing, fruit-forward nose of crushed watermelon, ripe guava, and sun-warmed hibiscus, with a palate that is juicy and vivacious, delivering flavours of tangerine zest and wild berry, all carried on a snappy, mouthwatering acidity that keeps everything lively and clean through to a crisp, saline finish. At just 12% alcohol it is wonderfully refreshing, best served well chilled and enjoyed through 2028. Winemaker Rudolf "Rudi" Rabl Jr., who joined his father at the family estate in 1986 and expanded it from 20 to over 80 hectares while winning the IWSC White Winemaker of the Year award in both 2019 and 2021, is now training his own children Johanna and Tobias as the next generation of this remarkable winemaking dynasty. Fascinatingly, Weingut Rabl traces its documented history to 1750, making it one of the oldest continuously operating wine estates in the Kamptal, with a philosophy rooted in spontaneous fermentation, minimal intervention, and an almost defiant respect for the natural character of the land.

Zweigelt Rosé food pairings: grilled Atlantic salmon with a cucumber and dill yogurt sauce, chilled seafood platter with lemon aioli and crusty bread, caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.
