Winemaker Rob Stuart has created a cool climate Pinot Noir with lots of campfire smoke on the nose and juicy acidity on the palate. Juicy and generous with ripe and slightly tart cherries and field berries. Medium to full-bodied with a smooth texture. Pair with roast chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled planked salmon, roast duck, grilled lamb chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Not a heavy wine, even on the spectrum of PN. A delicate fruity nose with a light cherry and oak balance on the palate. Lovely textures with this PN offering a soft glycerine viscosity which I love in well made Pinots.
R. Stuart & Co. Big Fire 2014 is a food friendly and everyday Pinot Noir from Oregon's Willamette Valley. It's easy to enjoy with dried red fruit, ripe raspberry, mocha and cake spice flavours on the palate all tidily wrapped up in a whiff of smoke. Drink now on its own or pair with grilled lamburgers. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
