An opulent, robust red with dollops of fleshy dark cherries, raisins and hickory smoke. Some dark spices on the finish. Terrific!

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This medium bodied, fruity to integrated wine consists of prune and to lesser extent strawberry, raspberry and earthy notes. There are aromas of oak and vanilla, and the wine is smooth and silky. It has an aging potential of no more than 5 years, has some tannins (needs to open between half to an hour) with medium, slightly metallic finish. My impression: NICE. Tasted Feb/10.
Shows a good aromatic presence with notes of jam and ripe plum, but isn’t overloaded with fruit. Full bodied in the mouth, smooth and round; a dry wine with length typical of the Douro.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
