A great, value-priced Portuguese red wine that had a long maceration and fermentation to extract lots of colour and flavour form the grapes. Aromas of dark fruit and toasty oak. Pair with a pepper steak.

Food pairings: roast leg of venison, roast pheasant, bison burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

One of the best value reds I've seen out of Vintages in a long while. Lifted candied aromas reminiscent of Swedish Berries. Full power on the palate of black fruits with a touch of tannins. A wine I might buy a few of - it will only get better. A rare thing to see at this price.
Great value under $20 on this Quinta do Espirito Santo (2015) red wine from Caso Santos Lima in the Lisboa wine region. Look for ripe black fruit on this spicy warming full-bodied red. Pair with grilled game sausages. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
