Quevedo's White Port from the Douro Valley is an enchanting fortified blend dominated by Malvasia Fina along with Gouveio, Viosinho, Rabigato and Moscatel Galego, delivering a fragrant bouquet of jasmine, cantaloupe and wildflower nectar with a silky, gently sweet palate. Serve it chilled as an aperitif with salted Marcona almonds and Manchego cheese, where the wine's nectarous sweetness plays beautifully against the salty, nutty flavors, or drizzle it over a bowl of fresh strawberries and peaches as its perfumed character enhances the summer fruit's natural perfume. Winemaker Claudia Quevedo represents the fifth generation of her family to craft Port in the stunning Alto Douro, a UNESCO World Heritage site where vines have clung to terraced hillsides for over two thousand years. The Quevedo family established their quinta in 1880 and remains one of the few independent, family-owned Port houses still producing estate-grown wines today.

White Port food pairings: custard tarts, biscotti, fresh fruit cups.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
