Quails' Gate Riesling from the Okanagan Valley is a bone-dry, medium-bodied white of impressive intensity and character, sourced from vines now over 30 years old whose deep, established roots draw remarkable complexity and an unmistakable minerality from the sun-baked soils of West Kelowna. It opens with a bright, precise bouquet of candied ginger, white plum, lemon verbena, crushed river stone, and a delicate thread of petrol that is the hallmark of truly age-worthy Riesling, all underpinned by a snappy, electric acidity that carries the wine to a long, clean, mineral-driven finish. At 12.5% alcohol, it's zesty and wonderfully refreshing, with a purity and focus that speaks to both the age of the vines and the cool, dramatic growing conditions of the Okanagan Valley. The Stewart family has been crafting wine at Quails' Gate since 1989, building one of British Columbia's most respected and beloved wine estates from vines originally planted as far back as 1961, a remarkable piece of Canadian wine history. Serve it well chilled alongside barbecue shrimp drizzled with lime and fresh herbs, where the wine's stony minerality and citrusy brightness are an effortless and joyful match, or pair it with fresh crab simply dressed with butter and lemon, letting the wine's focused acidity and gingery lift elevate every delicate bite. It will reward cellaring through 2030.

Riesling food pairings: seafood ceviche, barbeque shrimp drizzled with lime, fresh crab or pork belly.
