Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nicely done Quail's Gate! This Gewurzt shows moderate floral and citrus zest notes to start, then comes a burst of honey and candied apricots. The palate is rich, buttery and full-bodied for a white wine. Flavours show off-dry notes of honey, cooked stone fruit, and white pepper. It's interesting and not overpowering or intimidating like some Gewurz can be. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Rudy Giesbrecht rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Good with spicy and Chinese
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A fresh and spicy Gewurztraminer that would be wonderful with lightly spiced curry dishes. Tsated July 2016. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Quail's Gate Gew├╝rztraminer 2014 is a wine blend sourced from vineyards on the winery's property as well as vineyards in South East Kelowna, British Columbia. This wine is on the other side of dry with lots of lychee, guava and ginger on the nose and mirrored on the palate. Gew├╝rztraminer pairs with Asian cuisine -- although not too spicy. Poached Arctic char in maple syrup and fresh ginger, or a Caesar salad would be an alternate perfect pairing. - Community Wine Reviews
