Natalie's Score: 87/100

A dry, full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc from the Western Cape wine region. The crested porcupine featured on the front label is a common sight in South African vineyards. Dry, medium-bodied with mouth-watering acidity, look for tropical fruit, dried pineapple, bell pepper, herbal flavours and grassy flavours on this smooth and lush Chardonnay. Pair with oyster poor boys.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: grilled calamari, vegetarian dishes, seafood and grilled Portobello mushroom, chicken and sage skewers, fresh tomato and basil salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An intensely fruit-driven Sauvignon Blanc with peach as the leading note, lemon and citrus in the background. Quite dry with good acidity and a medium body. Definitely food friendly. Try with grilled pork chops with peach, feta, and basil.
From the Western Cape wine region, Porcupine Ridge 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a dry, medium-plus-bodied SB produced by Boekenhoutskloof. Look for tropical fruit, fresh-cut grass and lemon-lime zest flavours on this vibrant white wine brought up in stainless steel tank. Wine grapes are sourced from the Robertson, Stellenbosch and the West Coast winegrowing areas in South Africa. - Community Wine Reviews
