Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nose is quite ripe and fruity, showing dark fruit like black cherry and plum alongside a pinch of black pepper. Fresh acidity and moderate, smooth tannins make this wine well suited for the dinner table. A blend of Syrah and Freisa aged for eight months in barrel. Pair with steak au poivre or wild duck.
From Podere La Corte, Le Due Lune 2016 is an interesting red wine blend of Syrah and Freisa wine grapes sourced from the Monferrato, Piedmont Wine Region. Vibrant, full-bodied and robust with ripe dark fruit, pepper and dark spice flavours. Plantings of Freisa in the Piedmont region date back to the 18th century and is believed that the grape originated in the hills between Asti and Turin. Recent DNA profiling by the University of California, Davis indicates the grape has a parent-offspring relationship with Nebbiolo. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
