Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Aug. 21st 2018. Colour Deep ruby. Legs thick. Aromas and flavours of, black cherry, black currant, baking spices, cedar smoke. Taste extra dry, black fruit and oak, full bodied, soft smooth tannin, mouthwatering minus, high alcohol. Finish hot chalky and intense. Spicy notes, freshness and elegance. Match with grilled, roasted or stewed beef. I had it with a strip loin steak. Good value. Was marked down at LCBO.
The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for Pérez Cruz Pircas De Liguai (2013) were sourced from a selection of 12 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon from Maipo Valley and Central Valley, Chile. Wine grapes underwent a three-day cold soak and fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel tank. The wine was macerated for three weeks and matured in new and second use French oak barrels for over a year. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
