Pelee Island The Three Pinots from Pelee Island V.Q.A., Ontario is a bright, off-dry white blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Auxerrois, and Pinot Blanc, each variety weaving its own thread into a fragrant, generous tapestry of ripe mango, white cherry blossom, honeyed melon, and a whisper of toasted brioche on the finish. Light in body with refreshing acidity and a lower alcohol of just 11.5%, it is a wonderfully easy-drinking wine that punches well above its modest weight. Serve it well chilled and enjoy it through 2029. Winemaker Danie De Bruyn, who trained in oenology in Stellenbosch and has worked across South Africa, France, and New Zealand before arriving at Pelee Island, brings a world-traveller's deft touch to this playful, aromatic blend. Remarkably, Pelee Island is regarded as the birthplace of winemaking in Canada, with vines first planted there in 1854, and the winery even earned accolades at the Paris World Fair as far back as 1878.

Food pairings: Thai shrimp spring rolls with a sweet chili dipping sauce, lemon herb roasted chicken with a green salad, soft ripened brie with honeycomb and sliced pear on a charcuterie board.
