Natalie's Score: 88/100

Only 501 cases (of 12 bottles) were produced of this Niagara white wine. This is a relatively new Ontario winery, but already making a splash. The acidic attack on this wine is bracing, almost surprising. It needs food the way (fill in your favourite comparison... I'm out of metaphors for the day).

Riesling food pairings: grilled chicken with lemongrass stalk, duck liver pate, baby greens salad with fig dressing, spicy pasta dishes, grilled salmon with lemon sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Cuvée Black Ball (2014) is an Ontario Riesling from a relatively new winery. This cuvée is dry with laser acidity, a bit of a spritz (not faulted) and a lower abv of 11.5% alcohol. Great medium-bodied Riesling from winemaker, Pearl Morissette, of which only 500 cases were made. German sausage, potato pancakes and beer-battered fish are in the wine's future. - Community Wine Reviews
