Crafted using 100% native Spanish grape Bobal. Bobal you ask? Out comes the Oxford Companion to WINE...and there it is. "Important Spanish dark-skinned grape variety that produces deep-coloured red wines and even grape concentrate." Or as we know and love - Welch's grape juice. This bottle hardly tasted of concentrated grape juice. Yes, it was juicy and deepest ruby in colour. Succulent black cherry, strawberry,dark plum, vanilla, warm spices, toast and cedar all uplifted with a hint of toffee. This red wine is medium(+) bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity. Long berry and toffee finish. Lots on offer for $17. Perfect red meat dinner companion or try it with Canadian winter comfort stews. Price performer. Buy a case wine.

The 2012 vintage of this Spanish wine is made 100% from the indigenous grape Bobal, grown in extreme continental conditions. This wine underwent a malolactic fermentation to soften the acids and then was aged in French oak barrels for 6 months. Dark ruby in the glass. Polished tannins. - Community Wine Reviews
