Reviews and Ratings

Ian Anderson Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This medium-bodied wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. It is well balanced although tannins would subside with an hour of decanting or even a quick aeration. The wine is barrel aged which helps impart its deep ruby colour. On the nose there are great dark cherry notes, which turns more to ripe plums on the palate. At 13% and only 1 on the sugar code, this wine has been described by the winemaker as "elegant" and I tend to agree.

It's very food friendly, ranging from burgers and prime rib to pasta. My suggestion? Enjoy some Prince Edward County hard artisinal cheeses.

Price $15.75. Many Palatine Hills wines are available at the LCBO but this one is not currently.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
