Reviews and Ratings

Paladin Cabernet from Veneto opens with aromas of blackberry, cassis, wild plum, and forest floor with hints of crushed stone minerality and dried herbs. Off-dry and medium-bodied with fine tannins, it flows across the palate with ripe berry fruit and subtle dried fruit character before closing with a fresh, mineral-driven finish. Serve it slightly below room temperature or cellar it through 2030. Antonio Lucarelli crafts this wine alongside the Paladin siblings Carlo, Lucia, and Roberto, who continue the legacy established by their father Valentino in 1962 when he founded the estate following the winemaking traditions of his grandfather, building the family business into Casa Paladin, which now includes four distinct estates across Veneto, Franciacorta, Valpolicella, and Chianti. Pair this versatile red with grilled portobello mushroom burgers topped with aged provolone where the wine's earthy notes complement the umami-rich flavors, or enjoy it with herb-roasted chicken as the wine's fresh acidity cuts through the savory, herb-crusted skin. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
