Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

When a single varietal wine exhibits such great flavour, structure, and complexity, it's great to let it shine all on its own. This is exactly what Painted Rock has accompmlished with their stellar 2016 Cabernet Franc, which is one of, if not the, finest I recall tasting in the Okanagan. Deep and rich, with a wide range of aromas and flavours...dark plum, prunes, black cherry, mocha, sandalwood, dill, with scorched earth and graphite rounding it out. It's medium-full bodied with great tension and impressive structure. The tension between the dark fruit, refreshing acidity, and fine tannins creates a superb tasting experience showing the hallmarks you expect in fine Bordeaux, but which we see so often now in premium Okanagan wine which continues to demonstrate its earning its spot amongst the fine wines of the world. Painted Rock has achieved another pinnacle with this vintage of Cabernet Franc which has me excited to see what's possible with this wine in years to come. Enjoy over the next decade. Tasted August 2019. 94 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
