P. Ferraud & Fils Domaine Ferraud Les Charmes from Morgon is a dry, medium-bodied wine crafted from Gamay grapes grown in the prestigious Les Charmes climat, one of six special designated sites within Morgon, revealing aromas of forest floor, sour cherry and blackcurrant with lively red berries and a tangy, peppery palate. Serve it slightly chilled with roasted chicken with herbs de Provence, where the wine's smooth, silky tannins and bright acidity complement the tender poultry while its earthy notes echo the aromatic herbs, or pair it with coq au vin as the wine's red fruit and medium body harmonize with the classic Burgundian dish's rich, wine-based sauce. Winemaker Philippe Ferraud oversees production at this family-owned estate, which has been crafting exceptional Beaujolais since 1942 and is renowned for producing terroir-driven wines from Morgon's distinctive decomposed volcanic soils. This great value Gamay represents the excellent quality emerging from Beaujolais's top crus and can be enjoyed now or cellared through 2028.

Food pairings: roast chicken, hearty lentil stew, pork roast.
