Oyster Bay Pinot Grigio 2025 is a bright and lively white from the celebrated Marlborough region of New Zealand's South Island, a region renowned for its intense sunlight, cool nights, and free-draining stony soils that produce whites of exceptional clarity and freshness. The nose is clean and inviting, with aromas of ripe pear, green apple, white nectarine, and a subtle floral lift that gives it an elegant, airy quality. On the palate it is light to medium bodied with crisp, refreshing acidity, a smooth and gently textured mouthfeel, and a clean, citrus-tinged finish that is both satisfying and easy drinking. It is a polished, crowd-pleasing Pinot Grigio that leans toward the more aromatic and fruit-forward New World style rather than the leaner, more mineral expressions of northern Italy. Fascinating fact: Marlborough produces approximately three quarters of all New Zealand wine, yet the region only began its modern winemaking era in 1973 when Montana Wines planted the first commercial vineyard there, making its rise to global prominence one of the fastest in wine history. This wine is best enjoyed chilled at 8 to 10°C in a standard white wine glass, where its fresh fruit character and crisp acidity are shown at their most vibrant.

Pinot Grigio food pairings: steamed dim sum, light chicken stir-fry, seared scallops with pea purée, fresh crab cakes, zucchini and ricotta tart.
