Oxley Bluff Pinot Noir from Lake Erie North Shore opens with aromas of tart red plum, wild strawberry, and clove with whispers of dried rose petal and forest floor. Dry and medium-bodied with fine, graceful tannins, it flows across the palate with vibrant acidity before finishing with persistent red berry fruit and warm spice. Serve it slightly below room temperature or cellar it through 2032. Andrew Wilson, who holds a degree from Brock University in viticulture and oenology, crafts this wine from vines planted in 2010 at the family estate founded by his grandparents Ann and Murray Wilson who opened the doors in July 2012 after converting a renovated 1920s tobacco barn into a winery, restaurant, and event space on 38 acres of sandy loam soil over a limestone ridge. Pair this generous red with roasted duck breast where the wine's elegant tannins complement the rich, gamey flavors, or enjoy it with grilled salmon topped with herbs as the wine's bright acidity enhances the delicate, savory fish.

Pinot Noir food pairings: roasted duck breast, grilled salmon with herbs, mushroom risotto.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
