Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

GOLD National Wine Awards Canada 2014. Gorgeous ruby colour with enticing aromas leaping from the glass. Mega black cherry, plum, black pepper, grapey, toast, anise. The palate is smooth and dry with a long savoury and fresh herbs finish. A very nice medium-bodied red wine in an iconic Beaujolais style. Highly recommend. Enjoy now or over the next 3 years. Pair with roasted red meats. I'd even venture trying with roasted turkey with stuffing.
Tasted: January 2015
Gamay is the grape of Beaujolais and is finding more expression in Canada even though it can also taste a bit lacking in flavour and body. Since 1984, the Gebert family has used sustainable farming practises on its 76 acre vineyard in the north Okanagan Valley under the St. Hubertus and Oak Bay labels. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
