A smokey, toasty oak nose with notes of blackcurrants and dark plums. Full-bodied, supple and tasty.
Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: robust dishes such as pâtés, steaks, beef stroganoff, winter stews, roasts, mature cheeses.

|The vines grow in decomposed granite on a southerly slope some 50m to 100m above sea level. The vineyards were planted between 1990 and 1998. Grafted onto nematode-resistant rootstock Richter 99 and 110, the vines grow under dryland conditions. Some of the vines received supplementary irrigation|
by means of micro-irrigation, drip-irrigation or an overhead sprinkler system.
The grapes were harvested by hand and machine at 23º to 25º Balling from mid-February until the end
of March. The fruit was crushed and then cool-fermented on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for a period of two weeks between 25ºC and 28ºC. After the malolactic fermentation the wine was matured in wood for approximately 12 months.
