Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Consistent high quality Champagne from a cool producer. It is pretty remarkable that a Champagne like this would go for less than forty bucks.
Medium hay-yellow. Good, persistent bubbles.
It is apparently 100% Pinot Noir - no Chardonnay or Meunier. It spent three years sur lie, before disgorgement. That has given it some lovely full bodied notes to go with the broght fruit notes of the Pinot. Toasted nuts, coconut brioche, fresh almond, raspberry, red apple, and spice cupboard.
The flavours are harmonious. Good acidity, but softer and more mature tasting than 100% Pinot Champagne often tastes. That can only be chalked up as a sign of prudent selection of reserve wines, on behalf of the producer.
More berry and apple, but with some honey, nuts, rolled oats, and ginger.
If you enjoyed this wine, then try Moutard's Cuvee des 6 Cepages. It contains six allowed varietals currently allowed in Champagne, including rare ones like Arbane. This wine is perfect for pho and spring rolls.
What a great price for a Champagne. Moutard's Grande Cuvee Brut is a bright and zesty persistent bubble with ripe apple, ripe tropical fruit and toasted almond flavours. Disgorged in January 2015. Drink now through 2018. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
