Generous mint and black cherry aromas on the nose wrapped in toasty oak. Full grip with mouth-filling layers of black fruit flavour. Pair with grilled meats. MINE: This wine spends an amazing 7 weeks in fermentation and maceration on its grape skins to add flavour and depth to the wine. The wine is aged for two years in new French barrels. OTHER: Selected parcels of grapes from the best sites of the vineyard are individually fermented and matured separately for 20-24 months in French barriques, the best barrels blended and held in bottle for another year before release. This is a compelling wine, its quality coming through the bouquet and perfectly balanced and long medium-bodied palate. Dark berry fruits, cedary oak and supple tannins all contribute, but fruit is by some distance the most important. Drink by 2040. Score - 96 (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, Aug. 1, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
