A stunning high altitude Californian red wine from winemaker Janet Myers. This baby could still use some cellar time, and even then be sure to decant 1-2 hours. Aromas of dark fruit and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Food pairings: standing rib roast, bison burgers, game stews.

Mount Veeder Reserve 2013 is produced by winemaker, Janet Myers. This deep garnet, lush and robust red is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec from the Napa Valley. Look for layers of dark fruit, mocha, cedar and anise spice. Tannins are rounded and elegant. Pair with a rib roast of beef. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
