Hailing from Chile's celebrated Aconcagua Costa region, Montes Limited 2023 Pinot Noir offers remarkable quality at an attractive \$15.95. Cultivated in a coastal terrain marked by granite formations interspersed with diverse clay soils, this wine benefits from a notable finesse and structured backbone. Expect an enticing blend of lively crimson berries and deep cherry tones, interwoven with hints of foraged herbs, rustic floral nuances, and a whisper of smoky spice that unfolds into a persistent, stony mineral finish. A segment of the vintage was gracefully refined in French oak for seven months while the remainder was kept in stainless-steel tanks, making it an ideal complement for dishes such as a wild mushroom risotto or pan-roasted quail accented with a tart cherry reduction.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal medallions, roasted pork loin, prime rib, coq au vin.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
