A full-bodied, Chilean Pinot Noir fragrant with aromas of ripe raspberry, cherry and smoky on the nose. Dry and juicy with ripe red berry, cherry, sweet spice and coffee and smoky vanilla flavours on the palate. Good acidity for food and tannins are silky. So delicious and so enjoyable now.

Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon, roast chicken, pork tenderloin, pizza, beef.

Alan Dunne rated this wine as 92/100
Montes Alpha 2016 is a great value Pinot Noir under $20. Medium-plus-bodied, juicy and spicy with ripe strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry, earthy underbrush and cake spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are velvet. Pair with a mushroom risotto. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
