Gorgeous richness and depth on the nose and palate of this Chilean red wine. This Carmenere (aka Merlot) is incredibly concentrated rich and deep with fleshy black plums that you can dive head first into. Wow. This wine is aged for 12 months n French oak barrels. Another phenomenal wine from Montes.

Carmenère food pairings: wine-braised beef, turkey with heavy sauces, wild boar, bison chilli.

Reviews and Ratings

Sustainably dry farmed with controlled irrigation, this is a terrific Chilean red wine for the money. The wine is concentrated, rich and deep with fleshy black plums that you can really get your teeth into. This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak. Just another phenomenal wine from Montes. - Community Wine Reviews
