Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer CAPS Certified Somm rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Portuguese red offers amazing quality for a great price. It has intriguing aromas of smoky grilled bell pepper, black fruit, cassis and cured meat. Full-bodied, rich and savory. Good structure and balance and a long smoky finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet colour with evident dried fruit qualities of raisin, prune, fig, plum, cherry and a lift of mint - a good indication that this wine is past it's prime. The palate is weighty with smooth tannins, medium acidity and a decent length on a dried fruit finish. Drink now with no potential for further aging. Would have liked to taste this wine in 2012/13. Still a pleasant wine.
Tasted: January 2016
Sadly this wine is past peak now; it would have been great 2-3 years ago. Produced by Francisco Fino, this is a robust Portuguese blend of 25% Touriga Nacional, 25% Trincadeira, 25% Aragonez and 25% Alicante Bouschet grapes. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
