A voluptuous, supple Italian red wine with layers of black cherry, anise, coffee, mocha, dark chocolate and smoke aromas and flavours. Vibrant red berry notes with pepper and dark spice. Very lively on the palate with terrific acidity for tangy dishes and tomato sauces. This wine will cellar well.

Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore food pairings: meat lovers pizza , spicy sausage , prime rib roast, hearty winter stew.

Reviews and Ratings

This Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore from the Veneto region is lavender and pink rose petals on the nose. On the palate, there is vibrant acidity to match the ripe smoky cherries, dried herbs and savoury spice flavours found on the palate. Pair with a meaty lasagne. - Community Wine Reviews
