I like this. A little Wikipedia research and I learned that Marselan is a varietal crossed between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Reminds me a bit of a Cab Franc - although maybe neither Wikipedia or I know anything.
I do know that it's the first time I tried this grape and I like it!
Deep, beautiful appearance. Heady nose, with hints of peony, blackcurrant, cherry ... Mouth round, velvety, with a beautiful expression of fruit, soft-bodied, very fresh. A wine that does justice to its Syrah. Score: 88. Source: Guide Gilbert & Gaillard, Feb. 13, 2012
